I would definitely try and find some reviews of this place before you jump in just to be safe.

Be careful not all places up there are good. My brother in law went a few years ago and it was really a big waste of money. They did not kill that many ducks. Only good part was he went during the duck calling contest at Macks PW and they went to it.

Gotcha. They seem credible. I can't find reviews on them though anywhere. They are in a great place with maps on where properties are and seems legit and ducky. Near Jonesboro, ar

You should hunt timber... Way better than a rice field pit blind.

X2. You can hunt all the rice you want down here. Wouldn't wanna go to arky and hunt rice would like to do timber once. My buddy went last year and hunted rice and didn't kill good at all.

Well that's the thing.. I'd like to exp timber as well I believe they have timber as well waiting on email. That was just one of the properties. You can hunt other areas. I can hunt flooded timber here to but the mallards are just more concentrated because DU made meto and all the other areas such the major 4 rivers crossing and many more reasons they just hold more mallards than us. Never been to arky outside of work. I'm looking at others just like to hear what duck hunters think

Don't do it!!!!
Going north in Jan is a crap shoot at best and RF's can freeze up overnight. If they do, don't worry about hunting the next morning. Save your $$ and book a $700 a day timber hunt next year. If it's too good to be true it probably always is! |

500 a day is too steep in my opinion anyways...find the right farmer and you'll see as low as 1-200 I rent from the same farmer every year and it's always some good shooting then we hunt the blue line in bayou meto it's public but tons of rules and regs so u gotta be on your stuff....I love that place I love everything about it I could go up there for a week and not kill one bird and still go back....hunted with twin oaks lodge last year...very expensive but well worth the lodging and hunting experience...can't beat doing it yourself in the timber of bayou meto though....make sure if u hunt the timber bring a jerk cord....and mojo water stirring decoy...very effective we find especially in December....I wouldn't even waste my time up there in late January I've done it a couple times late January and it sucks up there the locals will even tell you that. Good luck regardless man.

P.S. I hunted a pit blind in a rice field in Jonesboro Arkansas one time. 6 of us in a pit, we killed one mallard hen. 5 dudes raised up and all shot at this one poor single. I just watched. Didn't need to kill a duck that bad. Had much more fun in memphis. |
