Default ok...age him....score him

just got back from our annual Texas Hill Country low fence-fair chase hunt near Llano. I shot an average 15" hill country buck and then this dude came out and all I could do was watch, curse and cry. I've hunted the hill country for 35 years, never seen anything like this outside of a high fence.
age him.....score him

Oooof my nephew did the same thing at my Uncle's place in Sonora last week. Shot first decent buck he saw even though my dad tried to talk him into waiting. Next day they saw a stud and he couldn't shoot it.

I would say that deer is close to 150 for sure. 3.5-4 y/o

3.5 and mid 140's all day maybe more. With some luck, he'll be even better next year and the year after that.

I think he is 4 1/2. He's got a little pot belly, big round hams.

He does have a pot belly, but i think if he was 4.5 he would have a little more arch in the back and the brisket looks a bit small to be old than 3.5....great deer though, I'd have a tough time givin him a pass.
