If I was buying a new motor I would look at the tohatsu, they seem to be real hot motors

So I got the 55 I was looking at today and apparently it used to have a bracket that made it so that it could quick release. Does anyone know if these brackets are standard for minn kota or are they specific to the model. If it matters I have a riptide.

I'm talking about the little rinky dink fuse that kept on poping that i had told ya to get rid of and left us stranded in da back of laccasine when your water pump went that I had told ya needed to be changed. Moron.

not sure if they are standard on any of them but I just checked and it looks like they run about $75 to buy one

It depends on if you need to remove your tm to prevent theft or in da way on family outings. I'm looking at getting one for mine.

The only thing they have over the carbureted 40 tohatsu is fuel economy. If having a hot motor is a concern I would get a 40 merc 3 cylinder two stroke first and a carbed 40 tohatsu second.
