That's not 100% true....A 3 blade tuned to the boat will have better holeshot then any 4 blade. As far as handling goes,yes the 4 blade will be better.

4 blade allows you to jack the engine up higher without cavitation also, very useful in tunnel boats

3 blades are faster if you are keeping them in the water.
