New boat purchase

I am looking at purchasing a tracker pro 170 or a mako pro 16 skiff. Both are at a price that can be easily built into my current budget. Can anyone off the pros and cons of each? I'm into fishing redfish and speckled trout. I'm leaning more towards the mako but would like opinions thanks.

I'm not much of a tracker fan. Ridden in a few. Great for river fishing but not open choppy water. Out of those two I'd go with the mako.

I can understand someone being interested in this boat though. Very reasonable price if you just want to get on the water from time to time.

I had a 15 foot tracker..... very wet ride and not good in any chop.

just throwing this out there.. if you like the tracker you should check out the g3 sportsman vinyl. I just priced on yesterday. It was the sportsman 17 vinyl, with 80lb maxxum trolling motor, 2 helix 7s, 90hp Yamaha, onboard charger (6x3), and galvanized trailer. Looking at 21k before ttl. That's with 7 years of warranty on the yam

I have the Tracker 175 Fx with a 60hp and yes it's a cheaper boat but works well for the money I had available. I've ridden across toledo and the ship channel and it's definitely not as bad as a flat bottom. The only thing I would say from experience is DO NOT GET CARPET if you are going to fish saltwater. The new ones have the vinyl so it may not be that big of an issue. Also, after just a few trips in saltwater, even after rinsing I notice more rust on the trailer. Aluminum would be optimal.
