The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) has closed all target shooting areas located at the Woodworth Outdoor Education Center in Rapides Parish while the ranges are being rebuilt.
LDWF closed the site?s rifle range in November due to safety concerns. The shotgun and pistol ranges have now been closed to accommodate renovation work in progress. This work will complement the future expansion of the Education Center located off Robinson Bridge Road in Woodworth.
It is expected that the ranges will reopen to the public during the summer.
