Default VB report

Jumped in with my fishing buddy sea hunt 19. Stopped at redfish point for bait, picked up a couple dozen shrimp and some croakers. The bay was slick calm but dirty. Being the water was so smooth, we headed to tiger shoals. Fished around the main structure and caught hard heads and trophy gaftops on plastics. The friendly chevron workers , after offering me a band aid from a hardhead that barbed me I'm the thumb, told us that the trout were biting at Jimbob mountain. So we headed further south to JB mountain. When we arrived there where some friendly fellow fisherman in a xpress bay boat that were catching trout one after another. We joined them in some of the action, but not like they were catching. They put quite a few in their ice chest as we were fumbling around with a new trolling motor and anchor. We caught three nice trout to their 25! The fish were on the south side of the well head. All caught on glow bayou chubs about three feet under a pop cork. After that played out, we hit a few well heads on the way in with no luck. Stopped in the pass on the way back and caught three nice reds on market shrimp. They would not touch the live bait we had. The water was very muddy there. Fun day on the water with smooth conditions!

Hey, were you guys in a blue and white sea hunt. I think you guys fished a SMI 212 while we were there. caught 1 trout there.

Good info. we headed to Diamond reef after and caught the biggest Gafftops. One broke a rod i had in the rod holder.

After coming to the conclusion that we would make it to the landing with 1 fish, we headed in. I talked to a boat of guys who went crabbing. They stopped at dry reef to wet a line on the way in and caught 25 trout. I gave them my 1 fish...

still had a ton of fun though!

I fished Tee Butte Saturday morning. Put in at Freshwater City and ran East. Got out there later than I wanted to (couldn't get others motivated) around 8:30, but the water was good and seas were calm. We caught 9 nice trout, all on plastics under a cork tipped with shrimp. Think we could have killed them if we would have been there early.

fished Shell Keys Saturday, water not great but salty and calm and we loaded up on some nice reds. We saw sharks finning all around but luckily did not hook any. Limited on 20-25" reds on the north side of the keys.
