Default Look How High the Mississippi is @ N.O.LA

John Snell took this photo... Shooting with a long lens from right next to the Algiers ferry landing makes the boat and the cathedral seem similar in size. You have to have some distance from both objects for the effect to work, but the point is their elevations were already quite similar)!

I am surprised they haven't shut down the river traffic. I know it would cost $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ but if a barge gets loose and hits the levee it would cause some serious trouble.

They were talking about "Looting" in Butte La Rose on the news the other night, but still no sightings of "Looter Dude" yet? Can't believe it!

They shut the river down on a 15 mile stretch around Natchez. So the river traffic will stop soon as nothing will make its way down to New Orleans.

Thank God! I'm already tired enough of having to grab my ankles when I hit the grocery.

I know right... I spend $30 at the grocery and leave with one or two bags these days...
