I don't think a leveling kit will effect anything. You can adjust your head lights. I had level kit on my duramax, didn't effect it.

Go 2" or 2.5", get an alignment, adjust your headlights, throw some 35's on and roll with it.
You can get the dealership to do it if you're worried about warranty |

If you get a 2 or 2.5 it will effect the ride. I don't care what people tell you.
It's a coil spacer so you are taking 2 or so inches out of the up travel of the coil. So when you hit a bump it can't rebound completely making it somewhat stiffer. It's not really bad and most people get over it quickly but it effects it none the less. If you put a 2.5 you may need to put a .5" shim block on the rear end to be completely level. I would think it had 0 to do with the shocks. I have a 1.5" on my f 150 and it it looks level not lifted. It didn't effect the suspension travel too much but it is slightly stuffer. The bigger you go with a level kit the stiffer the ride. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk |

Got 2" spacers on the front of my F150. Raised the front exactly 1.5". Get an alignment.

I would go with level kit but keep a slight drop on the front.... as for it dropping the back with a trailer, a boat or utility trailer shouldn't have any effect but a travel trailer or something heavy may cause some drop which could be corrected with airbags if you tow a load alot.

On ram 2500 you won't notice much difference in ride quality while driving it since it's straight front axel that was rough anyways lol and u shouldn't need an alignment since none of the steering geometry was messed with.... If it was independent suspension you would have to do an alignment.

Think I've decided to pass on the level kit. Thanks for the input.

Hey, I had one put on by Hurricane, they did an excellent job, did get an alignment, had regular tires, but needed new ones so put some Toyo A/T Open country 35's on, no problem, ride no worse than before with level kit. Bigger tires did make city driving a little rougher.
