Default removing cowling decals

What's the best way to remove old decals from an outboard cowling? is there a spray to use to loosen the old glue? a scraper? grinding off?

Heat gun or blow drier to take the sitcker off. Goo be gone or 3m adhesive remover to take any leftover glue off. The 3m works best but is harder to find.

Default Might try a small spot

Had to remove some window tint recently. Pulled the film, and had glue all over the glass. Brake cleaner sprayed on paper towels took it off pretty quick.

Heat guns work much better and if you not using it commercially a $30 Harbor Freight heat gun will serve his neads just fine.

On the other hand I pressure washed some old cowling stickers off a boat had.
