Default the "figure 8"

OK guys, i have never been accused of being the sharpest tool in the shed, my wife would agree with this 100%. Could someone explain the figure 8 to me?

I am totally familiar with potlicking and the olympic anchor toss, and have been the victim of such fools many times.

tried to search it and got every post with the word "figure" in it and you guys say that alot, too much reading... Figured you guys would gladly share the details.

school me oh wise ones...

When Waltrip gets mad at people potlicking him, he cranks up his big motor and does Figure 8's around them. He figures they messed up his fishing so he messes up their fishing.

ha, never been a fan of community holes. A person is smart, people are stupid, especially in large numbers.

Been watching the reports where someone posts catching in an area during the week. Come the weekend you can walk across the boats in that spot and no one catching due to the boat traffic.

I am upgrading to a larger boat so I will have access to the areas that collect stupid people, but not really planning to fish those areas. I fish around VB, but have a buddy that wants me to go to BL.

Just wanted to be prepared.

P.S. what kind of boat does W have? Gotta watch out fer that dude...

I have only been down here a little over 2 years and fished the lake 15 or so times, and its not really all that bad compared to other places I have fished in freshwater, and nothing as bad as Grand Isle. The places that the boats are bunched up just draws more and more people and leaves other areas 'free' to fish. Never had a problem out there, its a 'big' lake Right now you can catch fish from the gulf all the way up to Lake Charles but people want to concentrate in one little area for some reason. Also, during the fall when hunting season rolls around it gets a little less crowded, but just because you see a bunch of boats in one area means nothing. Just started fishing Atchaf this year and could barely find a place to park but everyone was in one little square mile from the boat ramp, got a few miles away and have it to yourself

I fish out of a 15' boat fwiw

Ah, so there is s certain skill in the figure 8...

Ironic that it is less crowded during hunting season...that means they put down their poles for guns... This is the reason i am head to toe orange when going to my stand...
