Looks very nice! I was checking one out this weekend at a hardware store in St Francisville. It looks like the base of a tree and you could bow hunt out of it. It was awesome!! But they wanted a few grand for it. I would say $242 is a hell of a lot better deal.

I saw that same stand at Pat's on 61. Didn't stop, but saw one like it around Woodville and the price tag was $2500. Never even got out the truck. That is just crazy to spend, but if you got it to throw, I guess it works.

Looks great, Whereabouts are you in MS?
Lived in Jackson Ms for a few years about 20 years ago. Was running a business at the airport there. One of my vendors used to take me to his place along the banks of the mississippi river about 30 minutes below vicksburg.. That place was just plain lousy with deer... |

does that tin roof not spook the deer when it is raining?

No - the roof has never spooked a deer that I can recall. All of our stands have metal roofs. Actually had a guy that picked acorns up in his yard. When he was hunting he had 2 stands that he would toss acorns out of, letting one hit the roof every 10-15 minutes. Deer showed up within an hour everytime - according to him they hear the acorns falling and come running.
We are in Franklin County around the Garden City area. HNF is all around us. |

Pic only shows the left "half of the V". It is about 300 yards long and 30 yards wide. It's got rye, wheat, cow peas, rape, and clover for the spring. Once the rye dies off, our clover get knee high.

Good stuff... lot of deer in that area, the mississippi river bottoms are exceptional habitat.
