Default Vbay Sunday

Stayed at friend of a friends camp in hammock side caught lots of whites and reds at night under lights. Saturday made a trip to hammock ended up with 14 trout which was dinner Saturday evening. Slept late Sunday fished north side of cove live shrimp started around 10 and stopped because 60qt was full. 19 trout 12 sheepshead and 5 reds ImageUploadedByTapatalk1382359567.539661.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1382359581.438723.jpg

the trout catch is awesome, but the sheephead catch is I think more amazing! I would have never thought there were so many lurking around that area! Looks like a BLAST!!

Me either, they were thick, i was amazed myself, I talked to my cousin and he was fishing a canal off shark bayou and said the same thing happened he caught lots of them but threw them back. I don't mind fighting the spines when cleaning because they sure have some tastey white meat!

The meat is a bit sweeter but so much less. We grilled a couple reds and a sheephead for the game saturday night. Talk about good.

Oh they are tastey, just don't get a lot of meat for the size of the fish. I don't mind cleaning them though!

haha yeah i know i'm on call this weekend hopefully it's quite and i can fish saturday right there in the bay incase i get called in. Yeah my fishing partner has to work this weekend so i'll prolly be by myself

I have my little one, she loves to be out in the boat but i'm afraid it'll be a bit cold for her out there. If you go give me a holler and I'll try to point you in the right direction.
