Dance Big ole Stripers

Striped Bass or Sea Bass as some people call them are running up the rivers to spawn now. The run from the Atlantic Ocean up tidal waters (Stewiacke River) to spawn in fresh water. These are a lot of fun to catch and our law requires they be a minimum of 27 inches long if we want to keep one, yes, the limit is only 1 in our possession. This was a 30 incher my brother caught and weighed in at 14.5 lbs.....real tasty

Default Nice country

Nova Scotia definitely has some great country for hunting, fishing, and scenary....here is a pic just in front of my camp, a cutting looking at a lake, and blueberry fields where I set up bait sites for Black Bears. These and more pics can be seen on www.blackbearoutfitters.ca

Beautiful countryside. Closest thing we got to that is a cut-over.

Spent a week up in your area in 2010. Loved your country. Everyone real friendly, especially when they found out we cajuns. Y'all got some mean tidal changes up there.

And to think the Acadian were run from that area back in the day and settled down here in the swamp. Looks nice but it also looks cold, I'll take my swamp, hot weather and 25 specks, 5 reds and 10 flounders over 1 striper and freezing my arze off.

That is some beautiful countryside though.

It's not that bad, maybe because I'm used to it, who knows. We have a lil piece of heaven with the forests and land that is free to hunt and fish. The cool evenings are much better than trying to sleep in the extreme heat but then we have snow and cold winters which offset the other 4 months of great weather.
