Me and a bud went Sunday before all the weather hit for a couple of hours.... Put in at the BOB, ran to the river (which looked like the ocean) and fished back towards the launch...

Nada nibble, bump or bite.... Ran back east past the landing, picked a section of rope up in the prop, and went as far as the "pilings" and started fishing again... Still nothing so we bagged it for the day...

Water was rushing in, wind was blowing 20 plus out of the south, overcast, and water was everywhere... We even went back in the marsh a bit without any trouble...

We threw jigs, spinners, bandits, DOA's and even a diving frog back in the marsh...

If things settle down, I may go back this weekend as we have a co. tournament coming up.

Thanks,
Hydro

If I go, Nibblets will be the destination for now till things "turn on" to the south...

Weedeater, did your friend fish North of the bluff, or North on the Sabine ??? I am just curious as to what the water looks like as Toledo has to be generating again, the river really needed a good flushing...

Thanks,
Hydro

After all this rain it looks like our gardening has been put on hold. I'm really tempted to try the Sabine. The only hold back is I'm not sure how long I can fish. I may just try the Westfork.

If you see a camo G3 with a Salty Cajun sticker on the back pull over and say hello...

I was debating on going to Lac, but its not sounding too promising so its off to Nibblets in the AM !!!

Thanks,
Hydro
