Default Bald eagle

Saw this eagle while fishing for bass today. Flew over carrying a squirrel. Heard her bring it to a nest of eaglets. Pulled up to bank and followed their sounds to find a pair of bald eagles. Taken at Cotile Lake in Rapides Parish.

Didn't know there was a pair that way! Super cool!! There's a pair off Hwy 4 near Boueff WMA that had left. But they recently came back......really amazing sight!! You don't know how big they really are till you get close to one. So Majestic!!!

I found the nest and about 50 yards from the tree there was the carcass of a catfish that they just devoured! Yes that is a serious bird with a huge wing span and talons that catch fish better than any hook you could buy! Lol
