Default Sac a lait

I am going to hit the Mermantau in this wind today. If I catch good, but just need to relax.

Good luck. Maybe you can get out the wind in those canals off the river

Well, it turned into just a boat ride. First off, trolling motor wouldn't work but I figured I would still give it a try. Left the boat dock in Lake Arthur and drifted a little while with no luck. Left there and went north to some canals that I thought would be clear but couldn't find clear water for nothing. Saw lots of fish on the screen but they were all in the deep water so I am thinking they were shad. Oh well, it was good to get out and not have to work.

I am hoping that the winds die down next week, it looks like I will be a residence of Johnson Bayou/Holly Beach pretty soon for work and I am hoping to be able to hit Sabine Lake and Calcasieu Lake in the afternoons.

Sounds about like my trips. At least you got to get out on the water even if it was for a boat ride. Beats sitting in an office!

I hear you. I have to drive daily to Johnson Bayou from Lake Arthur 8 days straight with only 3 days off. So I have to make the best of my time off.
