Default Lake Martin 3-19-12

Fished 7:30 til noon. Shiners and crickets. Caught two Sacalait on black and orange jig. They sure like them shiners.

Nice ones, last I heard that they were catching in the middle of the cuts that separate the trees, there's some nice sacalait in there,my biggest was 16" long, thanks for the report

Fished the trees and any kind of structure and yes quite a few had eggs.

Good catch. Shiners are the ticket. Anyone know if that bait stand off of La Ave still sells em?

Yea they open when they want to. I just go run to henderson the day before for some reason I've never seen shiners like they have their. They big and stay alive forever

I gave up on dem bastards. Wasted time n gas goin check see if theyre open. **** em i just goto henderson or country station. Bullets n bows in rayne used ta carry shiners n crickets but he stopped

There is also a little store and bait stand right before the boat launch at lake Martin that sells shiners now too.
