X2!! I used to get them damn near every year when I was a kid on opening day of squirrel season, on my nuts!!! I would sit on the ground in our woods under a big pecan tree and bust up the tree rats. I would wake myself up from scratching my nugget pouch in my sleep!!! Lol, good ole days.

Ive heard alcohol, toothepaste (supposed to smother them) Ive only found that "time" is the only remedy. Its definitely a miserable experience, I hate them things!!!

This is gonna make you scream... but is the only thing that worked for me with red bugs and chiggers.

get about 1 lb of epsom salts... sit in the bathtub and let the water run as hot as it will go... (as hot as you can stand it) let the hot water run over your legs where the bites are... (it will make you invent a new language... the cover your feet in epsom salt for a few minutes then rinse again with hot water... After i do this.. no more itch for 1-2 days... then need to repeat if the itch comes back.... the water has to be dang near scalding hot.

I get a plastic fork and scratch the crap out of them until the skin breaks and pour rubbing alcohol on em. While doing this drink two stout drinks as fast as you can of whiskey on the rocks you'll be smiling in the end. Lol

Damn.... All sound unpleasant except for the whiskey! At this point a flame thrower would be better than the itching.

They sell some stuff at the pharmacy called Chigger-rid or something like that. It coats the bite and suffocates them and it helps the itching too.

Have you heard......an ounce of prevention is worth.....well, a million dollars.

This will keep the redbugs and ticks from biting you.
