Default Optimax's Oil

Just started running these opti's last year. The oil I had been buying is a blue-ish purple, asked a friend to pick some up for me and it has a brownish color. This is all bulk oil. Anybody got some insight?

Assuming , the oil you have been buying is Mercury oil(or quicksilver) the Blue oil is premium plus and the brown is DFI . DFI oil is a synthetic blend , it is also what Mercury recommends now in all Optimax engines due to it being a cleaner burning oil with less carbon deposits

Dang! I was told for my proxs just to run premium plus and it would be suitable for warranty purposes.. As long as it was premium Plus..Ive seen the DFI oil and called Chris Marine about it and was reassured that premium plus was good enough??
