Sitex GPS question

Looking to upgrade my GPS. I found the Sitex units to have a lot of features at what seems like a value price. Its just that I've never seen one in action, nor do I personally know anybody that has/had one. Just wondering if any of ya'll have used Sitex or the c-map charts they are compatible with. Specifically....do the c-map charts provide as much detail as garmin/lowrance, and are the Sitex units rugged/reliable? Thanks in advance
