Default Grand Isle?

What's the fishing look like in Grand Isle right now?

We are going up this Friday for a week. (May 30 - June 5)

Going to bring my little Alweld with 25HP again this year. Hoping the weather will cooperate for at least a little fishing success.

Anyone been catching any fish on the beach or around the pass?

The fish are down at the island. BIG time . May be back side .May be surf side? I would fish the rocks in caminada pass and the sunken jetty in baritaria and go from there

I'll be down there Tuesday and Wednesday that week. I'll be in a blue and white pro master.

Trout were on last week. This past weekend was tough. Reefs in the bay produced, but it was early early bite and shut down by 9. Plastics outfished live.

Rocks in the pass didnt produce for us. Perfect conditions for them, just no fish.

Caught trout on and off till I left at 1:30pm each day last weekend.

Popping cork and anything 18" under it. We used glow colored baits as well as shrimp imitations. Also I picked up some trout on shrimp creole matrix shad on a slow retrieve.

Where is your camp located?

We are in the area behind Bridgeside Marina... we are the last 2 camps on the southwest side of Susie St. closest to the gulf. Both of our camps have blue metal roofs. There is actually an empty lot between our 2 camps that has a bunch of pylons driven but no camp.

I like to wade fish out by the Jetties... did fairly well there last year but that was at the end of July. Everyone told me June was the best month so I booked earlier this year. Hopefully I can catch some decent weather and good fishing conditions for my small boat.

quote from LHC facebook page

"I just want to clarify if something does develop I do not see it becoming a monster storm... Tropical Storm/ rain maker at most. There will be a good amount of shear in place during that time which would inhibit any real intensification. BUT this far out things/conditions can change. I would also still only give a 40-50% chance of any Tropical system forming at all, could just be a low pressure system."
