Default Any Land Based Shark Guys?

Anyone target sharks from the beach. When I say from the beach I mean casting only. Gona see if we can get on one this summer for my boy. Much better story for a teenage boy than it would be for me. Not trying to go after the next state record or anything like that. 5-6' range would be nice though.
Anyone with thoughts or advice?

My lil brother surf fishes for sharks on Crystal Beach. He says the key is yakin the baits out past the third bar. Game changer for him

You can catch these guys all day off the beach...they are fun on light tackle. Not the biggest sharks but it's something.

yep, catch 'em all day on the beach, just pic a day w/ no weed. There are plenty of small to mid-size sharks in the 2nd or 3rd bar all summer, but yea your bigger ones are generally past the 3rd bar unless you fish at night
