Hairout vbay today...

Today I was fishing vbay and all kinda boat was acting a *** when I was anchor and fishing with my nephews. Instead of going around they would go right by my boat full throttle and look at us.

Which would throwbug wake at us.....and the parking lot was retarded. When you pull your boat out move it out the lane !

It was bad... Had a offshore boat tan so close to me I could have casted a line into his boat. He also threw his wake into the back of my boat ...

We're was the patrol to stop the crap? That sounds like it was dangerous for you and your boat. I would have taken numbers and reported it. Not good with kids in boat. Someone might have gotten hurt.

People were pulling tubes and skiing in sharks bayou too! IMO that's not smart... Too many curves and way too many boats in a very narrow bayou with shallow banks.

I bet it was bad the boat traffic was crazy yesterday too. The launch was even more of a mess. People don't have a clue about boat launch consideration at all.

The Parks department or DWF should have large signs at every public launch, posted in plain sight, "Read before you approach launch" and then list the rules of do's and don't's in simple understandable language.

People park right in front of the signs that say no parking, not sure more signs will help any...

I was in my Kayak with my son, daughter and her boy friend in Kayaks. We left because of all the nuts running up and down Shark Island Bayou, everyone has the right to be on the water but you have to show some respect. I saw a kid no older than 10 running a boat with a couple of teenagers wide open, I talked to the Park Ranger when we left and he said take a picture of any boat acting nuts and they will deal with them. Thanks to all the boats who did slow down when they saw kayak's. We just want to fish and enjoy the water too but that was my last trip on a holiday weekend, not worth the risk.

Gasper Master and I were out there yesterday and made it out alive and with a few good fish in the box. Good news is that it should only get better.

Or at least no way there can be that much traffic again this summer.

I saw 3 kayaks on the side of bayou. Of course I slowed down to idle once I saw all the skiers and kayaks. I started seeing big boats decide to pull wakeboarders right in front of kayaks. I kinda stopped for a second because I was sure a yak was about to get washed.

That being said the water is to be shared by all but no way I would ever take mine out to the point on a weekend like that. Just asking for trouble.

That was me and my group, thanks for slowing down. We fished same spot Saturday and never had a problem but I'll never bring my kayak out again on a holiday, not worth the risk.

I think some of us need to flood the Game Warden with calls. We were out in both bays and past thru shark bayou also, it was just retarded with the idiots on wave runners and tubing. One Wave runner came so close to my boat while I was running I could have spit and hit her, she never saw me.

Default v.b.

yeah boy that is vermillion bay for you, especially on a holiday, we have a ramp capable of launching 4 boats at one time, yet most of the time you can barely launch 2, i squeezed my boat in between one yahoo and the dock last weekend, he was unpacking all his stuff right in the middle of the ramp, you should have seen how big his eyes got when he turned around to see how close he was to my truck
