Default What a great Father's Day

Anyone out there get new rig / gear / tackle for Father's Day?

My wife completely surprised me with a real sweet rod.........what a woman!
She bought me the Falcon BuCoo BCC-6-17 7 ft. Heavy baitcast rod that is just awesome........How funny because I had been reading and learning about the BuCoo's here on these message boards.

On top of that, she got it at Academy when they had their "rod riot" sale on, and saved about 40%.....Needless to say..........that gave me the green light to go out and find that PERFECT reel to rig it out with.

Most of my reels are Revo Sx's, but I decided to try something else......
After watching the threads here debating over what's the "best reel".....and reading about the great bargain at Academy........I took the advice from many of you and went with the Shimano Curado 200E7..........Not only that........got it for that low low price of $129.

What a great combination it's turned out to be..........
I used it on Toledo Bend last week and just couldn't put it down.
I'm "hooked" and definitely going to get another Curado when they go on sale again.

So, special thanks to all of you who contribute your experiences, tips, thoughts, frustrations, and opinions here on this site............

Believe it or not, many of you unknowingly teamed up with my wife and I and helped to make my Father's Day one of the best I've ever had.
