What are y'alls thoughts on evening hunts?
I think I would be in even more trouble with my wife during hunting season if I made them.

We never really hunt evenings at our marsh so we do not push the birds to hard. Towards the end we do because the mallards start coming strong and its almost the end of the season.

Same here. That is more or less a cardinal rule never to hunt your morning spot in the afternoon. Nauticstar, sometimes you need to go where the mallards want to be, especially when they pour in to roost directly off of large lakes.

I've done some afternoon hunts out in gc, but never really had any success so it's really not worth my time to go out there. I really don't like to do them imo because of the pressure it puts on the birds.

lol!!!!!!! Well it's slow here at work. Man you should have some ducks at your spot with all this rain. I saw a bunch the other day in that rice field across from pine pasture rd. Saw a bunch of geese in that area too.
