Coast Guard Arrest

I took my grandsons fishing on Sunday. On the way back to the Ellender Bridge launch we saw a Coast Guard boat, with his blue lights flashing, tied up to a tug boat in the ICW. When we got to the launch there were two sheriff deputies waiting. Before we left the Coast Guard boat showed up with a guy in handcuffs. Being safety minded they had him in a life vest with his hands cuffed behind his back. They transferred custody to the sheriff deputies. No idea as to why he was arrested.

I worked with some patrol guys, they told me 90% of the time the bust someone its by accident.

He said one time they stopped at a marina to get lunch, they were walking back to their boat and a guy was sitting out on the deck of his sailboat. As the Coastie were walking up the guy shook his head and says "yall got me, I'm not even going to resist" And walks into his boat and comes out with a bag of weed. He said we were just like.... okay. I asked what happened to him the guy. Coasties told me all they did was make him dump it into the water and they hurried up and left. They didn't feel like doing any paper work.
