I sure hope you get it DD....I was looking at people's ponds on the way home from work this evening and some of them looked to be 3 to 4 feet low.

NOOOOOO, no more rain

We're waiting on it to stop raining so we can build the dirt pad for our house! We planned on having the house started by now and we haven't even started moving dirt because of all the damn rain we been getting!!!

Going to check out the blind this weekend. bringing lots of beer and wasp spray!!

A few guys on my lease told me that they had to pick up the motor every 50 yards to get the widgeon grass off the prop!

Our marsh is looking pretty low too. Thank god we have rice fields to hunt for teal. Been swimming the dog 2 to 3 times a week to get him ready. I'm so pumped!!! Come on sept 11th!!!

Hope you marsh guys get your rain, but not too much.

In the rice fields we have something called a water well.

Seriously, we do better on dry years in the rice fields for teal, but for big ducks the last few years the marsh is were it's at! We have been very slow!

Going to cover the blind in Johnsons Bayou this weekend. Not sure where the water level will be, but expect it to be low. Taking 4-wheeler and hoping to get enough rain next couple of weeks to be able to run boat and hunt teal season.

Saw a small flock yesterday afternoon while driving north of Elton along Hwy 26. First ones I seen so far. Spent the week down in the marsh by Creole and haven't seen any yet. Man I'm ready to shoot AT them little rockets.
