Default ar-15 suggestions

I'm thinking about buying a new AR-15.
any suggestions on where to buy and what to buy?
this will be my first AR and i was hoping you guys could help me out.

I got mine about two years ago at Gator Guns in Sulphur. It is a Bushmaster Paratrooper model and I added a lot of extras. I went with that model due to it being so compact it makes a good home defense weapon.

HAVE SMITH & wesson MP 15 ...very good gun....you can ask 10 different people and get all different opinions..good luck

that aint a lie! I have my own opinions and I've owned an ar15,. I've heard good things about the mp15.

What is your intended use? Are you thinking small and light and handy for plinking and defensive capabilities or longer barreled and heavier for target and/or varmint type use?
