does an ATV need to be registered in the state of Louisiana? if i would be driving around nieghborhoods, or trail rides.

Dont think so. Only if you are going into a state park of some sort.

I may not be 100% right on this but i'm pretty sure thats right.

atv's are illegal to drive on the road! Last summer two kids on a 450R blew through a stop sign and ran slap into the side of my wifes brand new Altima.$8500 worth of damage to the car and a year worth of fighting them for medical bills!

ATV's do have to be registered.

yes they have to be registered and there is a sticker that has to be placed on the rear of the bike

nope. the registration must be on the bike at all times to be legal and it can't be driven on a public road unless you have a waiver for farm use
