Default Thanksgiving Week fishing at Big Lake

Tried to fish last Sunday (11/24) and Monday (11/25), but rain and cold ran me off with no luck. Started again on Wednesday and while trying to fish for flounder we caught a few reds in Longpoint Lake off the ship channel. On Thursday, caught 3 more reds in the same spot as Wednesday. All reds caught on Gulp swimming mullet. On Saturday, went to the 3rd weir and caught our 10 reds in 45 minutes, all on 4 inch white/pearl Gulp swimming shad and swimming mullet. I did catch a 3 spot red. I was disappointed that I never found the flounder. I think wind, rain and water color killed me.

You did good Danny! Glad you found some reds to make the trip worth it.
