It has a backerboard the shape of the saw blade and it will be stained a darker color to give it contrast.

wow that is impressive for JR High, we made freaking coat racks in high school, they light years ahead of us.

Now that you say that, I did build a shooting table for my final project. it was a whole sheet of plywood that you cut into various pieces and it all matched up and made a shooting table. BPS sells stuff just like it. It worked pretty good till it rotted.
