Fished the north end around turners... Vudu shrimp got me two lil ones. Wind was not what it was predicted... Was much worse.

Thanks for your post yaker. Tinkin' about Sunday afternoon if no rain. A 1:45 hr drive is no fun unless you can at least try to fish!

So if its calling for 5-10knots do you think it will be kinda rough in the lake?

its hit or miss. I've gone out there when my phone told me 5mph and it was atleast 15mph and some monster waves. Then I've been out whrn my phone.said 10mph and it was like glass out there... Same goes for.checking the buoy data, sometimes you just have.to go and see for yourself

Good thing about big lake is you can always fish the channel further north or some of the other canals to get out the wind. Weather forecasts are nothing more than a educated guess,gotta go to know.

I need to find me a few spots on the channel for those days... I haven't had any luck on the channel

Fish the drop offs around any points with moving water.....I have better luck using a 3/8 jighead for the deeper water. Much easier to stay in contact with you bait that way.

Pics look better on here, I'm still thinkin about going tomorrow, most def gonna have to fish the turners/channel area its still nesquick up near lake charles/prien..

Nice to see some specks further north though! Good Job

Damn, I still havnt had a chance to fix my blown gas line from the red tourny. Been workin overtime all week. Ready to get back out there.
