Well it is amazing how well the ducks work/decoy when a tractor is not 15 yards from your blind. Hunted 3 this morning and got 18 teal. Majority were green wings.

Fool I hope you are right. With the bad weather we need the temp to drop. Hopefully, this will occur during the morning or day. Great for rice field hunting.

I saw 1000's of teal today in Creole and Little Chenier. Not many big ducks.
I also seen that the Pouldoo started flying down too.

Default Third Year of Duck hunting not starting that great

Well this is the first year I have hunted in the west zone out of three years of duck hunting and so far not so good. I have faith it will get better but I have made 4 morning hunts so far this year and no ducks...not even any shots at ducks...could have shot at some teal on one hunt but they came out the fog so fast and left the same. I know I am not in the best area but I expected to see some ducks by now...well that is why they call it hunting...glad some people are into the ducks...one day when I have more money and experience maybe I will be too. Come on nasty weather

Put it to you like this....If i dont kill saturday or Sunday......i will go nuts.

I will take desperate measures to kill ducks if i dont kill some soon....

It's a disease i have...i call it "duck-madness"....working a set of mallards, with a soaking wet lab looking at you like, "*** you going to shoot them or what sherlock???" Is my favorite thing in the world to do.

On my last trip to Big Lake....I saw about 10 Mallards along the edge of bank within casting distance. I think you could have gotten a limit in one shot.

Do you want to know where????

Bring your shotgun and some bread to Dugas landing. All mallards. Should be an easy limit. You can even sleep late.

42 birds total for our Grand Chenier lease,
3 hunts; 4 guns sat,2 guns sun and 2 guns tues
There are plenty of birds in our marsh just takes longer to scratch out the limit.
