FlagUS Bowhunting

Just curious, who's still bowhunting even though we're well into gun season? I'm sure I'm not the only one. To quote Ted Nugent, I'm "celebrating the mystical flight of the arrow". Gotta love it!

I just got my first bow last week, I can't wait to do some hunting with it next season! I need to get it adjusted for my drawback and drop the lbs down on the drawback.

I hunt with both Bow and gun on WMA's.......gun season is short, so there is lots of time to Bow hunt.

Get the bow adjusted and "tuned" and start practicing. There is still 2 months left [2.5 monts if you hunt area 6].

For my last kill......I watched a doe and 2 fawns for ~ 45 minutes....75 yards away. Then they went out of sight for 15 minutes. I them spotted them working their way toward me. It took another 15 minutes before I got the shot @ 13 yards. I watched her fall 60 yards away.

What a rush!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I go back and forth. when I see deer out of range several hunts in a row I break out the boom stick though. I missed a 8 point last Thursday at 55 yards with my bow, would cut him in half with the ol .270. Thats the chance you take though.
