Default outside V/B 8-18

My son and I headed out early this morning,It was pretty bumpy going for a while, but slacked off a lil later. Got to the reefs, and found dirty, dirty water. Decided to give it a shot for a few minutes. Picked up 3 Nice fish on topwater before we headed off to the platforms. Got on a good bite, and was enjoying watching my son sling in some specks and whities, until the 2 guys (pictured below) came cruising right in,and tie up to the well head we are casting too Killed the bite the first time, destroyed it on the second go round. Other than that and breaking the tip off of my new stickem rod, We had a great time and a few fish to boot. Shouldnt be too much longer before it gets right on the inside. Water was very salty in the cove.

We tried a few minutes at dry reef, and in the cove on the way in,but the water wasnt real nice in either place. Its been breezy during the night hours lately, thinks thats whats keeping it churned up. Didnt go on the weeks bay end. Its salty though. Hope you do well if you go.

Me and a buddy went today, and tried a couple of well heads in the bay on the west side out of ICC. Water was very nice and salty. Im kinda just starting out trout fishing so when we went this morning, im thinking that these well heads have shell bottoms, but i didnt feel much shell down there working that lead head on the bottom. I dont know, i might have been fishing them all wrong, but the conditions was right on the money. Didn't find no trout, but ended the day with two nice reds.

yall musta hit the clean water when we were on the outside. Not all of the well heads have shell bottoms. Keep trying, the trout havent shown up in good numbers inside yet.

Cheers Thanks for the report Speckchaser

Nice catch and keep the reports coming! I have been stuck offshore going on 3 weeks, and cant wait to get back in next week! Looks like you guys didnt have to go too far outside, as you can see the island in the background....Hopefully the bay will be on fire this fall!
