Default Winter Olympics 2014

Anybody keeping up with the Winter Games? I've taken a liking to curling this year. More specifically women's curling. Russia sure has some gorgeous ones on their team!

There are some definite hotties in the curling circuit... Look up "Women of Curling" on the web... they put out a calendar every year... Wowzers!!

Only thing I really keep up with is the snowboarding and skiing events. Shawn White backed out of slopestyle to focus on the super pipe and fell twice in the finals. Came out with 4th. I Pod won it. He's a beast. Crazy how they have the "winter" Olympics at a beach resort. It's been in the 50s and 60s most of the time. They said they have been storing snow for years to be able to add the courses. The superpipe was like slush at the bottom. Pros falling just on routine runs. Bet they don't have another one in Sochi.

Yea the super pipe event was really a dud this year. None of the big tricks like you normally see. You can't force the weather to cooperate. I did read though that the crew working on the pipe was shut down as not to disturb the broadcast of another event. This whole thing makes you wonder. $51 billion allocated to the games and there are reports of so many issues from the hotels to the actual venues. Just wait for a few more years and it will look like the "ruins" of the '08 Beijing Olympics.
