Default Rod Selection according to bait - INFO

Okay guys...here goes...I would like to make a chart or maybe a reference sheet for newbies on picking out a rod for saltwater/freshwater. Based on species and baits used

for example

Saltwater

Speckled Trout

plastics-grubs/swim baits etc.

7' Med Light fast action tip

popping corks

blah blah

Top water

Blah blah

Red fish

baits

rod selection

Fresh

BASS

worms

rod selction

spinnerbait

rod selection

crank baits

rod selection

carolina rig

rod selection

top water

rod selection

etc etc

White perch

Bream

I'm sure you get the point by now...

Only the optimal rod selection...basically the generic rod for that bait application. I know some folks may use a different type than usual for a particular bait.

This would be a great reference for "what type of rod would you use for this???" question.

I could gather all suggestions and make a chart based on them...any input would be appreciated!!!

I have 15 rods and reels (or thereabouts). Still have all my bass stuff when I was fishing tournament. When on Big Lake I usually have 3 or 4, maybe 5. 6 on windy days.

Seriously, I have a Falcon Grass rod and 2 All Star Magnum Worm rods, 2 Falcon coastals, 2 Shimanos, 2 Falcon FC4 for wacky worms and small crank baits, Falcon Mark Davis Heavy cranking rod, 1 all star worm Skeeter special, 1 falcon carolina special, 1 berkly bionix, 1 falcon low rider, 2 shimano spinning combos and about 5 bream/white perch rods.

Entirely too many. But I don't have to tie new baits on often
