How do you protect your baits and hooks?

I recently started spraying a little WD-40 on my baits and hooks to try and protect them from the salt water. I noticed a while back that the hooks on my baits and raw hooks were starting to rust, even the ones that has never come out of the tackle storage box. That's when I started using WD-40. It has slowed down the rust progression but was wondering what you guys do, if anything.

I am not familiar with these......can you give us more information.
What are they made of......where do you get them......what do they cost?

dawn dish soap into your boxes.....spray with fresh water.....let this soak in suds for a while, drain, let dry.

cilica gel packets will absorb the moisture but rinsing them is also a good first step

Rust inhibitors came with a box that I had bought from Academy, I'm sure you can buy it separate. It's strips of cardboard type material dipped in a rust inhibitor that lies in bottom of each tray. It works.

I use Corrosion X but your idea sounds interesting.

tell yall what.get ya a wood,aluminum or whatever type material box.make sure it is air tight.get ya a golden rod(these are the rods guys put in their gunsafes ta keep the humidity out.install that inside.wash bauts, hooks,reels etc with fresh wawduh.let em drip dry for an hour, shake ant excess water out of reels.place in box,plug it up and when ya ready ta go fish again, take em out. or, after 12 hours all humidity and water will be gone. problem solved!!!! ive done this for fifteen years and never had any problems with corrosion.if ya dont wanna do this, as salty said,apply corrosion x-this stuff works

SD........you went thru all that trouble to save some money on hooks???? I'm gonna call you in about 30min......ill be on the road and was gonna come by and pick up that stuff.........

not just hooks dinkster.reels especially.my old curados have lasted and lasted and lasted.but like i said,its what I do. yall can keep on buyin stuff fer all i care.my money is well spent and i take care of it all.
