What trolling motor battery do you use and what should i be using

Looking to get a new battery for my trolling motor. I just purchased a 55lb thrust riptide for my 16' aluminum boat and not sure what battery is needed... any suggestions?

go to Lake Area Marine or Safety Brake and get you a Big Mama, thats all you need for that boat and tm or you can break the bank and buy a gel cell which is total over kill

Call this place and ask if they have any reconditioned AGM batts. I bought a pair in my neck of the woods and they were crazy cheap. I bought a pair of group 31s for $170.00. The best part of the story is, I won $100.00 on a scratch off on the way to the battery shop. Both batteries have performed flawlessly.
