Default fuel prices

I filled up at a Chevron station yesterday in Kenner @ $3.51. There are at least 3 Chevron stations here in Bogalusa and their current price is $3.89. Now, I can see a dime or so difference in the price, but, .38 per gallon?

There is currently a new Super Wally World under construction here. The Bogalusa oil cartel fought it tooth 'n' nail. Is that because they fear that they will no longer be able to regulate fuel prices here? Does WalMart make that much difference? I know they are causing somewhat of a mini "gas war" along the Texas coast. It's about time for something like that to take place here. These bastages have been rippin' people off since forever. I would not be shocked to find fuel prices here as high or higher than anywhere in the state.

Okay, I'm done............

Gas is always wheaper in NOLA, I filled up last Sunday in St. Rose for $3.39, in Raceland and Houma it was averaging $3.70 or so. Ican't understand the orice difference from parish to another, is there tax rates the same?

It was $3.54 at the truck stops in Orange TX this morning. Bridge City TX often has gas wars and gas will be up to .50 cents lower than any other town in the area. I can not find Ethanol free gas anywhere over here though.

Okay, I'm done............
To answeer your question about wal mart . yes and no. wal mart will stay under anyone elses price but if the "cartel" sets prices at $3.89 a gallon, Wal mart will only drop their price enough to take the majority of the gas buisiness . Close to me there is a race trac and wal mart .They are the 2 lowest prices per gallon around. If you go inside wal mart and buy a gift card or wal mart card ( refillable ) It will save you an extra 3 cents a gallon.
