Water was decent on the west side of the refuge yesterday morning but it changes daily out there. The water salinity is about 10ppt out there right now and it's fresh at the point and 5 at fearman. But you may have to park in Cameron because the cast net mafia will be out in force. There is not much room to fish either. What kinda fish you looking for?

Caught a few reds in bertrand canal and a 7 dozen crabs at the mudhole last weekend. All the shrimp you want right across from the boat landing, across the street from where people crab by truck. 10lbs in three casts

As if that place ain't crowded enough already.

Oh, BTW numerous limits of Trout, Reds, Flounder at all the dead ends and near the coast. Easy limits of Gars being snagged everywhere also.

Went Weds. One 17" black drum and a 6 lb cat, both on dead shrimp on bottom first set of satellites east side of buoy 3 and 4. Other than that, few small croaked which caught nothing. Did not hear anybody at Quintana catching much.

talked to a bud who fished MI yesterday, three reds, tide was hardly moving. I decided to do a little perch jerking instead today.
