Go to calcasieu parish police jury, click on GIS MAPPING, go to Interactive map, zoom down to area of interest, hit the "i" that has a circle around it and click on your pond, it will tell you who owns it, or if states owns it, etc

Negative. If you'd like I can look it up real fast.. On the site as we speak.. checking on some land off the river.
If you can't find it, I'll look it up.

I was just on the site as well and didnt see the circle I on that location, but if you go to a house or something it shows...

Interesting site, just type in someone's name and it zooms in on their property... Big Brother at its best...

Yes, that's the one... Looks like its subdivided, but the west side is "connected" to the river...

Ok, I just checked it out. It is subdivided. Can you receive picture mail? Or an email? I'll send a picture of the land that this particular woman owns. She just so happens to own the west part, and apparently quite a lot land in the area. She owns a ton of land on the river I know that much.

Huren, Patricia Ann Scott
Brou (taxes)

To get to the circled i, instead of clicking on the map of the parish, scroll down to GIS Portal, and click on that. It will be in the map's tool bar, top right.

Good God, all the lines just turned red... This gal has some waterfront property !!! It still looks like the west end of the pond is open to the river, not cut off... I will get with my wife's real estate broker and see who she is ...

Thanks for the help Fool !!!
