Yes I saw them at academy. The hds model is far more superior than the elite

It finds 25 12" fish with an audible alert "bruhhhhh!"

I think they are good from what I read. Just a new model that Lowrance has come out with.

Reviews I read were good but I was inquiring about the Elite 7. The screen is much bigger than the HDS 7 and can be split into 3 screens also.

Look like nice units to me...

My buddy has elite 5. It lags, charts aren't nearly as in depth and the best one is you can't expand the elite to down scan etc...

Not saying its not worth the money. I don't have one in my boat at all. Don't know if ima get one or not. I may get the elite at this all new low price. See what the ole lady says. Ill do more research and get back to ya

Elite 7 comes with down scan . I currently am using one on my boat and for the money its a good deal . Even the Lowrance rep said if you don't need all the networking capabilities of the HDS line it is the way to go .
