Default Bad gas?

I have a brand new 225 Yamaha hpdi. Recently went to Toledo and filled up over there and my motor seemed like it just lost some horsepower. Max speed went down to bout 50mph from 70. Motor is not missing and starts right up. Any suggestions on what it could be?

Did you hit your prop on the boat ramp or sand/gravel bar?? That will make a ton of differences in speed. Also is it just top end speed or is your hole shot hurting to??

No don't think so. Just takes while to get on plain and won't go over 50mph. Just wondering if bad gas could do that to it or am I looking at bigger problem.

found out today from boat shop that some oil rod was not on inside motor causing the oil to just flow freely causing plugs to foul hence making boat run slower . said it was prolly like that when i bought it. damn the bad luck. now got to take to skeeter shop to fix bilge. whats that saying about the 2 best days of owning a boat???
