Default Burns 7/12 and 7/19

Took my oldest daughter and my dad out to the marsh on the 12th. Had a good, fun trip.

Ran across a few redfish feeding and landed this one on my bass fishing tackle. I thought it would have got off or broke the line in the lily pads and weeds, but somehow i got it into the net after it pulled our boat around for a little while. My little boy didn't know what to think about it when I showed it to him. Bass and redfish were caught on a mix of paddletails, centipedes, and beetle spins.

Brother in law and I went out to the marsh this morning (7/19). Dodged a couple of small showers early, but eventually got ran out by two large storms and lightning. We caught on paddletails and centipedes mainly, fishing the lily pads near open water. Threw back a bunch of smaller ones.

Marsh closes in middle of August so gotta put a few extra fish in the freezer.

We should start calling you the "Miami Man". Those are great catches.
I've taken a liking to paddletail worms myself.
Thanks for the great report.

There are a bunch in the marsh, but they run small and they have small mouths which make them a little harder to catch unless you are fishing for bream or crappie.
