Wigeongrass

Ducks like it, they eat it and the invertebrates that get all up in it. Lucky you

Widgeon Grass and Feather Grass is almost the same.
Feather Grass don't have white root stalk and is a lil more brownish leaf.
Widgeon Grass is Green with white stalk above the root.
From that picture, it looks like Feather Grass, but it is kinda hard to tell.
Feather Grass does better in brackish/salt water.

That is the BEST duck food you can get in south La. including rice. If you keep the water level where the ducks can get to it and have a resting area where the ducks can body up, you may not miss a limit. I agree with Duck Butter, the grass itself and the invertibraes that live in it can't be beat!

Every square inch of our pond is slap full of it and we got a big pond right next to us that hardly ever gets hunted. We had this grass last year and did pretty good, we just didn't have nearly as much as we do now. Thanks for the info guys.
