Default Whats the strangest thing you've seen floating in the gulf?

For those of you who fish offshore or work offshore whats the most unique or random object you've seen floating or caught in a rip or weed line? For me a few years ago I saw about a 10 feetl long pool raft shaped like an alligator caught in a weed line. I always hope to find some contraband or such but no luck so far

A pile of balloons at HI-A350. Got them up on the platform and they were full of paper notes from a church in San Antonio, Tx. that released them a couple weeks before.
They were having a revival or something and set balloons loose to inform people in the area.
I called the number on the piece of paper to let them know where they landed. 100 miles off the La./Tx. coast. They sent me a bible for letting them know. This was in the mid 80's.

Also found an upside down rescue boat that broke loose from a Norwegen Cruise Liner in rough weather.

My old supervisor in the oil field landed on a platform back in late 70s early 80s and they found a man on the plus ten deck with his throat cut, figured he got in a fight on a work boat and someone served justice.

Once off SW Pass found 1000's of hypodermic needles floating in a rip. Tractor tire holding 52 10# chicken dolphin my ankles were black and blue the next day.
Also 2 huge turtles 20 miles apart in the same day.
Had a wahoo jump out of the wake while the boat was doing 55mph and hit the transom.
A waleshark surfaced about 10 ft from the 23ft boat I was in and i realized how small was out there.
Once a 5# blue fish came out the water 3 times at least 6ft in the air with a 6 ft king mackeral on its tail. With each jump a little closer and the last jump he was inches from catching it.
Had a pod of porposes surface next to the boat with there heads out of the water look at us for a few minutes and all made there noises at us and left.
This was all back in the early 90's before we all had camera phones.

I have found all kinda stuff. Once I saw a dead cow float by all bloated up. Had fish all over it. We were close to the river have seen Alligators, Nutria, old boats. Once in EG we had an upside down Nigerian fishing boat float by. It was after dinner and we were hanging out on the smoke deck looking over the water when we heard someone shouting from the water looked over and there the were. 3 guys clinging to the bottom of this wooded boat for dear life. We called the field boat over and the picked them up. Come to find out there was a 4th guy who couldn't hold on to the boat they found him floating a ways off holding onto a bucket. They got real upset when the work boat wouldn't tow their boat back in. They should have been thankful to be alive! They had been in the water for two days! If you had seen the sharks around there you would not believe that they had lasted that long.

We saw a port a can once and you could still read the poetry on the wall. One time when we were diving south of panama Fl we found a sea turtle tangled up in a net barley alive. We were able to cut him free and bring him to the aquarium in panama and he survived. That was pretty cool

Today, this sail boat passed between Ursa and Mars platforms.
Empty. Just floating N/NW.

This sail boat is passing between Ursa and Mars platforms right now in the Gulf of Mexico. Empty. Anyone want it?
