Churn I've enabled TapaTalk on SaltyCajun.com

If any of you use TapaTalk, you can now view SaltyCajun.com with the app on your iPhone, Blackberry, Droid, etc. TapaTalk can be downloaded for $3 or so at tapatalk.com if you'd like to use it. If you use a Blackberry, the app is currently in Beta and is free. And no, I don't make a penny off you purchasing TapaTalk.

Here is some more information in case you've never heard of it:

Tapatalk is a mobile forum app for iPhone, Android, BlackBerry and Nokia. Tapatalk supports vBulletin, phpBB, IPB and SMF forums and forum owner can activate this service for free. Tapatalk supports all the usual forum functions plus full screen image viewing, image upload, caching (less reload), private messaging, all these features are accessible in just a few simple taps.

Showing New and Unread Thread with Avatar and Number of reply:

Images are thread are converted to thumbnail and allow full-screen viewing

Ability to see Who's Online and what they are doing:

Ability to search by topics and posts:

Ability to upload images directly from Android and iPhone!:

Is it better than the mobile version I already use? If so, What's better about it?

shadman did a pretty good job of explaining what it is and how it works............I like it because it makes things much easier to read(no need for zooming in and out to read posts), the full siz image viewing is awesome, and it also stream lines uploading pics to sites with just a couple of clicks. its a one time fee of 3 bucks to use the app, and this is also the ONLY app on my phone i've actually paid for, and its worth it to me. All in all, it makes viewing, posting, and commenting on forums much easier. Also, i use the htc desire with android.....havent seen the app function on anything else.

There are thousands of forums that have enabled tapatalk so with a quick search you can find just about anything.

You don't need to use it, but it's available if you choose to do so. I already have a mobile theme installed for folks using phones, Blackberry devices, iPhones, etc., but TapaTalk is specifically designed for vBulletin (the forum software I use) so it includes some options that my mobile theme can't, such as direct uploading of pictures from an iPhone, editing your posts, etc. It's up to you whether you choose to use it or continue to use the standard mobile theme I have available currently. There are screenshots of what a forum looks like on TapaTalk in the first post of this thread. I believe there is also a lightweight free trial version you can download before paying the $3 if you just want to test it out. I'm sure they have some of the functionality disabled in the free version, but I'm not sure.
