I put them on a 00 chevy it help out a bunch when pulling my boat.the best thing about it made a/c blow cold as ice when at a red light

Gonna hook up a thermostat? If not, truck will take forever to warm up and burn alot of gas

Yeah, most kits come with one if not, I can buy one and tie it in. I'm thinking that it would take some of the load off of the engine and cooling it off either just as good if not better.

They do work,thought about doing the same on my truck. The direct fit kits are pretty expensive though.

Yeah they are, so I'll probably be looking for a wrecked Silverado or Sierra between 05-and classic 07s where the fans came opitional. Looking for one totaled in the rear end.

Thats true. I went look at a place on Highway 929 for a plug that runs to the A/C control in my 97 Chevy, 60$ for that one little plug and it looks like it should have been 20$. Of course they didn't tell me this when I asked, but I went and cut one out of a 98, and he then said 60$. I said nevermind no thanks, then he tried to say I had to take it.
